Baseball

Maddux loves sports. The whole nine yards that comes with sports. He loves to play. He also loves the attention. He wanted our entire family to attend all of his practices. Not quite practical, but we did attend all his games.
Maddux striking out is completely gut wrenching. His sad little face. Truly heartbreaking! I have a lot more years of baseball watching. I guess I will need to figure out a way to cope. Besides that Maddux had an awesome season with a great bunch of little boys. Such fun!

Spring Break

14 hour drive to the gulf of Mexico... Not our brightest idea.

Minus the awful drive it was lots of fun. nice to see the sun. We came home to snow.

Lake Cheever

When it rains all the water runs off from the fields through our back yard and eventually goes to the river. It's a good thing our house is on a hill.
When this happens the kids have a hay day. I'll be honest so do I.

I like this one with the wheat field behind us. Kansas is beautiful. in a completely different way than my beautiful Utah mountains but Still the rolling plains have grown on me and if we ever move, I know I would miss them.

The water brings frogs too. I'm talking like my kids caught 20 to 30 little frogs. They kind of gross me out.

Capturing frogs

one little one by itself is cute. 20 of them in a bucket. Ewww.

We always have a mud fight too. I always lose.
Who knew the backyard was going to provide so much fun.

Put a Fork in First Grade!

Jadyn is a good student. She tests above average on mostly everything but addition and subtraction. I to this day can't add in my head. Sorry J. Her school is also awesome, I am very happy about the school district we are in. Her principle is named Mrs. Sprinkle and she is great!
She doesnt love to go to school though, even though she does fine, and has several friends. She whines most mornings and has counted down the days til she was out. So she was super excited for the summer. So was I! The last day I told her " today, you can put a Fork in First Grade!" She said "How about I put a knife in it!"

Last day. She really wanted to wear one of her church dresses on the last day. Something I usually never let her wear to school, but I did on the last day, in return for a promise that she would let me take this picture. So there you have it! Now time for SUMMER!!
