The Boys

We refer to these two as the boys. They are so lucky to have each other.
Horsey rides

sundays are a good day to make a cookie mess. And a good day to wear matching shirts. :)

Faiths Baptism

The plan was to wake up early that morning like 5ish and drive all the way to Colorado. I got up and Pat didn't. So I may or may not have just left him here. He may or may not have caught up to us around Colby.
Pit stop in a field of sunflowers.

I love baptisms.

Summer Vaca To Worlds of Fun

Pat had to work in Topeka one weekend and my friend had gotten a code for half off tickets to Worlds of Fun. It was the last weekend before school started, and a pretty fun way to end our summer.
First stop was Topeka where we spent most of our time at the pool. While Pat went to meetings.
 The kids had a blast.

They dunked their head from the hot side to the cold side over and over.
Then we finally made it to Worlds of Fun. First Ride was the carousel.

Put two hands in the air if you love double ride friday.

Then Pat convinced Jadyn to go on some scary roller coasters.
Then I bought Bodey a cup of cookies to make him feel better about not being tall enough for half the rides. We usually just like to teach our kids to eat their feelings. And that almost everything in life can be solved by eating a few cookies.
Then Bodey got especially whiney and pretty soon he passed out.
Then Pat got whiney and pretty soon he passed out. So we sent the sleeper/party poopers to the car. (don't tell him I said that)
Then I forced Maddux to ride the Ferris Wheel. He was trying to smile for this picture but he was so scared the smile just couldnt come out. Then we went home. The End.

Forgotten Backpacks

Today Jadyn forgot her backpack. Shortly after the bus left I realized I had sent her out the door without it. There it was sitting on the kitchen stool. I changed into some jeans and brushed my teeth then drove to the school. We beat the bus there. Me and Bodey waited inside the school for Jadyn. As we sat there waiting I watched kids file in and out of the lunchroom for breakfast. I sat there thinking how thankful I was to be a stay at home mom. How thankful I was that my kids didn't have to eat breakfast at the school. That I could spend my morning watching them eat something I chose. I gave Jadyn her backpack and as I drove home I thought about all the parents who were already at work and didn't know their child needed them to bring theie forgotten backpack. And I cried a little bit because I was so thankful I could, but mostly because I am just emotional when I am pregnant.

Halloween 2013

For our trunk or treat I made some cheesy family costumes. Maddux and Bodey were thrilled to be dalmations. It took a bit of convincing to get Jadyn to be Cruella. And alot more convincing to get Pat to be Pongo. But in the end everyone was a good sport and we all had fun. Pongo did however refuse to be in any pictures. But let it be documented that he was there. :)

Washing Cruellas hair the next day was a bit of a nightmare!

As for their school costumes I let them choose whatever their little hearts desired to be.
Except I did say no to Bodey being a scary wolverine.
And Jadyns first costume choice was a soccerball. But I had no clue how to make that costume! So then she decided she wanted to be a witch. Yay! Easy peasy.
Maddux decided he wanted to be a ghost. Double yay. I only spent 10 min making his costume and I do have to say it was awesome!

Maddux had trouble seeing through his costume however and I felt like I was leading a blind man trick or treating.
This was the first year I let Jadyn trick or treat with friends. It made a bit of a long night for all of us, but she went to bed happy.
