preschool graduation Bodey

Bodey really had an excellent year. Towards the end of the year he began to get sick of school and I let him choose which days he wanted to go and which days he wanted to stay home. I was confident sending him to kindergarten. His teacher was pretty awesome. Thankful for her and helping him come out of his shell a little bit.

Keppys 1st Birthday

J, M, and B were really excited for his birthday. They kept counting down the days. And would tell him "Only 5 more days Keppy!"  ect..ect...  I tried to be very disciplined with Kepners food and although a few people slipped him a thing or two.  The plan was to not let him taste sugar until his first birthday. So that was a big build up for the kids. "Kepner you get to try cake!" Thursday was his birthday and Maddux had baseball practice that night. I decided to wait until sunday to celebrate his birthday, so he would get a proper celebration. This upset the kids alot. But I distracted them by letting them help get things ready. Bodey made a huge Happy Birthday sign out of paper. We made him this little hat out of paper. And Maddux made his cake, which we saved in the fridge for 2 days. Sunday finally came and the kids were so excited. They rushed around the house putting up decor and finally we all hid and yelled "surprise" when Pat walked him in the door.

The cake had blueberries, cheerios, sprinkles and a cat on it. His favorite thing is the neighbors Kitty. It was also his first word.

Kepner was a little irritated that we made him sit in his high chair and tie a paper hat to his head. He was also ready for a nap and I don't think he was over all feeling super good. Basically his birthday wasn't about him at all. It was about Jadyn, Maddux, and Bodey. :)

He pulled the blueberries right off. He loves blueberries.

He took a few tastes of the frosting, but didn't really eat the cake. Then I cleaned him up and gave him a good nap. :)

I have spent every single day of the last year with Kepner. It has been heavenly. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. He's normally all smiles and such a blessing to our family. We love you soooo much Keppy! Happy 1st Birthday.
