Summer say goodbye.

I needed to post this goodbye to summer so it will start cooling down. I put up my fall wreath. I love seasons. Summer was fun. But it was hot! And I am ready for fall. It's coming and it's my favorite!

They grow up and its sad and its heaven

Maddux made his bed this morning by himself. I was so happy I took a picture. My oldest child successfully washed and rinsed her own hair, dressed herself in a outfit that matched and put on her shoes all by herself. Bodey happilly and idependentally crawled around the house while I made pancakes. Today do I feel sad that they are growing? Not a bit, it's heaven.

Bodey lately

crawls everywhere and is always dirtier than dirt.

he has gone from sweet to silly.

suddenly thinks he is such a big boy.

loves his brother.

loves his sister.

will not take a nap unless pushed around in a stroller.

or swung to sleep.

literally i cant get him to sleep any other way. he's half baby half monster.

when mad he carefully hits his head on walls or floors on purpose while throwing his temper tantrum.

he is really silly.

im desperately trying to wean him. he does not like it much. and refuses to take a bottle or sippy cup. but for some reason will drink out of a straw.

loves this cat. our neighbors cat. they are great friends and spend alot of time together.

i have cute video of him walking but cant get it to upload. :( maybe another day.

today things

- a bird pooped on bodeys head while we were outside playing. it was weird, funny, and gross.

- bodey said "more" for the first time.

- jadyn said a prayer including these words "please bless maddux that he will be able to learn to cut and draw right and that he will stop scribbling. please bless bodey that he will be able to learn to fold his arms and close his eyes."

-i re-arranged the living room furniture for the 4th time since moving in 4 weeks ago. i think i finally found the right way to place the couch and tv.

-pat booked us plane tickets to portland. me and him tickets. kid free tickets!

-maddux hurt his ankle showing me his new trick, which is climb on top of the slide and jump off.

What to do about a mean kid?

Jadyn told me 2 storys tonight that bother me and keep me up late blogging. She said that she asked a girl at recess if she could play and sometimes the girl said yes and sometimes the girl said no and that about made her cry. Then she told me that another kid didnt think her running shoes were cute and that about made her cry too.

So I told her that sometimes kids were mean and to make sure that she was never mean and to be nice to everyone. And I told her I was sorry and that I thought her running shoes were cute and that not everyone thinks the same things are cute.

But if you want to know how I really feel... I feel like hiding in a bush close to the playground and when I find the girl that told her she couldnt play with her at recess I would like to rip all her hair out. And when I find the boy that told her, her running shoes were ugly. I would like to kick him in the balls and tell him if he ever makes her cry again i will rip them out.

twinkle toes

jadyn has got her own idea about clothes lately. i can no longer pick her outfit for her. sad day. these must be in, i think one of her friends has them at school. she wants them so badly. she wont wear sandals to school anymore. she has to have running shoes because the boys chase the girls at recess. oh i remember the days. she says these skechers (twinkle toes) will help her run even faster. maybe i should buy them for her cause we dont want the boys catching her now do we.

Maddux is Three!

jadyn got a cup cake maker for her birthday so we tried it out for madduxs birthday but we couldnt find the directions. they loved it, but i thought they tasted kinda nasty. you just cook them in the microwave.

he was not very excited about the clothes presents. he kind of just threw them on the floor. i made him put his sweatshirt on and smile.

maddux is so easy going. he always consents to playing something like barbies with jadyn even though he would rather play something else. he easily gives up a chair or piece of food for either jadyn or bodey. he is down right just a nice guy.

maddux got a tramp for his birthday and he was pretty excited about that.

he spends hours and i mean hours riding his bike.

every time pat mows the lawn. maddux does too.

maddux you are awesome! happy 3rd birthday.

Kindergarten.... or not

this was the best school picture i got. it wasnt actually the first day and it was after school but the first day i didnt know where the camera was. and then i told her to stand by the fence for a super cute kindergarten picture..

and she got distracted and started climbing it instead.

Dont be fooled kindergaten is SCARY! Preschool is fine but kindergarten is a whole other ball park. I had weird nightmares about Annie holding my hand and walking me to kindergarten (i dont even think that happened in real life) And im not sure what that was all about? Maybe because jadyn is the oldest and doesnt have anyone to walk her to class? Anyways to make a long story short Jadyn spent a week in kindergarten I spent a week of 0 sleep and then we took her out and decided to wait til next year. She barely made the deadline and we will all be much happier this way. So another year of preschool and next year i'll probably just decide to home school her. Kindergarten is Scary.

i let them capture a toad. and he was big and he was gross. and they will probably get warts. (i have the best parenting skills) and they loved him.

yuck. i didnt touch him.

and i put them in the swing together because it is oh so safe to have your 2 year old hold your 1 year old.

so you may cringe but no casualties occured and look at the pure little boy joy.

some exciting news at my house. maddux pooped in the toilet! he has been wearing underwear and peeing for the last 6 months, but asking for a diaper when he needs to poop. i told him it was over when he turned 3. he held it in all day and then finally went on the toilet. lets hope it really is over.

Finally the internet!

We moved. With the relocation package we were able to hire packers and loaders and although it was nice to not have to worry about that part, moving still sucks! Our rental house we moved into was super dirty, no one cleaned... so that was fun. Jadyn started kindergarten the next day and that was chaos, but we'll save that for another story. The water here is disgusting. When I called to get internet they gave me a installation date that was 3 weeks away.... ok.
But the people are friendlier than friendly and i kind of like the small town. So it is on to new adventures.
