Just some thoughts for moms

These things work at my house:

-If you struggle with children picking up their toys-
I tell them you guys have ten seconds to get your stuff out of the living room and in your rooms or it's going outside. After throwing toys outside the first time.... they gladly get their toys in their room in 10 seconds.

-If they lie to you-
At least this works for 4 year olds. I tell her exactly where liars go. And what it will be like there. You may think I'm psycho, but we haven't had any problems with lying since.

-If they won't get ready for bed-
I only read books until 9. If they want to start reading at 8:30 thats fine. But if it's past 9 they don't get books, just bed.

-gym memberships with a nursery are worth paying for-
those 90 minutes are sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane. Except lately Bodey has seperation anxiety, and they bring me him after 10 min. :(

Anyone have any ideas for children who don't sleep? He has nightmares about Jadyn stealing his cookies. Anyone have any ideas for children who fight? Anyone have any ideas of stuff to do for the rest of the boring winter?

He gets it from his momma

No not really, Im pretty sure I was 3rd string in highschool. He gets it from his Dad at least the victory shower at the end he does. :)

Im doing dishes. I look out the window and see a man with a beanie on walking beside our fence. He's on our property, what the heck is he doing? Suddenly he turns the corner of our fence and is headed to our back door. I drop the dish. And I make a mad dash for our door with one thought in mind. He's coming to break in and I have to beat him to the door and get it locked. I lock the door my heart pounding. My mind starts running. Where is your cell phone? Get a knife.... I look out our door and see him checking our meter and realize his beanie and coat say Westar Energy. Man I am a idiot!

She makes me laugh

Jadyn: "Mom can we make a laying down bike for Bodey? Like with sides and stuff so he can't fall out."

Me: "what?"

Jadyn: "Cause he is always kicking his legs but he can't sit up. He'll think it's fun. Can't we make him one?"

Getting Antsy

Seems like just about this time of year every year gets slightly depressing. When you really need spring, but spring is still months away. So today Im dreaming of vacations. Vacation to a warm beach where I can dig my toes in the sand. My fantasy doesn't have children in it and includes me being tan and looking great in my bikini.... Ya not happenin! But a girls allowed to dream right?
