Maddux 3 and 3 months

Maddux sat on Santas lap, turned and looked him right in the eye and said "a drum" Then he got off, he didn't really like Santa, but wanted to make sure he knew what he wanted. He is so cute.
He gets out of the bath. I told him to go get in jammies. But he runs around the house naked for awhile. He climbs up on my kitchen counter and tells Jadyn "Im going to pee on you, ha ha." And then he pees off the counter onto my just mopped kitchen floor. He is so not cute.
He still loves puzzles. He loves to cook. He will listen to a couple books, but does not love reading. He doesn't really like watching tv. He likes to go to bed early and wake up early.
Bodey takes naps, Jadyn goes to school, but me and Maddux play all day, every day.

Uncles

These are more pictures from Disney World that i stole from Luke. I think it's funny to see Pat when he is with his 2 brothers. He acts like a little kid. They did alot of carrying of kids and it was nice to have help and fun to hang out with them.

Baking Fools

We have been cooking. Real life cooking from scratch. Real healthy dinners. Zuchinni burgers, cream of pumpkin soup, grilled cumin chicken with fresh tomatillo sauce, banana carrot muffins . Its so much better than macaroni and cheese! I have never had a great love for cooking. But I feel my inner Betty Crocker coming out!

At The End Of The Day

Sometimes I feel like there are not enough hours in the day. And sometimes I feel like there are way too many hours til bedtime. Today was a day with too many hours. And on days like that I find myself here (blogging) at the end of the day. Because it's somehow self therapy to me. Today is wednesday. I thought it was thursday. I sent Jadyn to school with a show and tell and a library book and peanut butter crunch snacks. Jadyn told me after school that library and show and tell weren't until tomorrow because THURSDAY is library and show and tell day. And today is wednesday. (DUH) So I am frustrated because half the time I literally don't have a clue what day of the week it is. Not only do I not have a clue if it's wed, thur, or fri. I don't have any idea if it is the 8th the 15th or the 21st. And that is how my life is, and I am usually 98% ok with that. But today I was the other 2%, not ok with not knowing what day it is.

We were up at 7. That means we have 5 HOURS to eat breakfast, get dressed, and eat lunch before Jadyn goes to school at 12. That should be plenty of time! Yet 2 min before it's time to leave for school I still have 3 kids in the bathroom fighting over toothpaste. They just seem to be so wrapped up in their own little world, I have a hard time getting them to focus on the rest of life. And after I found out today was wednesday and not thursday. I realized they are soo much like me. And Im starting to wonder if we (me, jadyn, maddux, bodey) if we are ever going to make it through this life. Because it seems like we are doomed. Doomed to make Cucumber bread. Doomed to never really have a clue.

Never a dull moment

They haven't recovered from staying up way way too late on vacation. I cant get them to go to bed by 8. They say they aren't tired and then they go to bed at 10 and sleep in till 10. Today I set an alarm and we all got up at 7. It has made for a better day. Early to bed early to rise really does make a man healthy wealthy and wise and a mom more happy.

What else is knew?
Jadyn has been trying to write and read ever since she saw that Faith could. She wrote tree like this yesterday "ture." I think it's kind of funny.
Maddux has been turning everything into a drum. Boxes, pans, whatever he can find.
Bodey has been taking 1 awesome 3 hour nap, instead of 2 short and lousy ones. It is heaven.
Pat went to Salina and finshed fixing the basement in our house and bought new dress clothes. Including a $100 dollar pair of dress shoes (that kind of made of me mad) but he looks good. He is doing manager meetings in Denver this week.
I have been taking Jadyn to school in the bike trailer to try and add some exercise into my day. We still haven't finished Christmas shopping. It's hard because we have to drive 35 min. to shop and so basically we rarely go.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is over, but I never got to do my thankful post. Lately I feel so thankful for my calling as a primary teacher. I have only had this calling for a few weeks, but it has already been a huge blessing in my life. Each week as I prepare a lesson I get to ponder the scriptures and pray. The first two weeks were really scary. I dont like talking in front of people, even 8-11 year old kids. I would stumble over my words and I could feel my legs shake. I felt inadequate to teach these kids. But with the help of heavenly father I feel more comfortable. I know my testimony of the gospel is growing and I hope theirs is too.

A Sleeping Babe

Today was a good day. Well, as good as it gets with 3 kids. Not perfect, but good. Jadyn woke up and through a fit about something, I think she was too tired. Then she said she had a headache and didn't want to go to school. Later on in the day, she admitted she was just teasing about the headache, but that she didn't want to go to school. I guess every kid gets away with that once. So she stayed home and it was nice. We listened to Christmas Harp and made banana, carrot muffins. They were yummy. We folded laundry. Jadyn folded her own clothes and put them in her drawer. Maddux didn't fold but did put away his clothes after me asking only once. Bodey took a 3 hour nap. (and he looked really cute, so i took pictures)

Florida

My in-laws took us to Disney World for 6 six days. They are nice.

The Cheever Boys. Aren't they cute? I especially like the middle one.

Jadyn and Maddux wore these cards around their necks. And Jadyn really did get lost. Scary! We also lost a suitcase at the airport and my purse on a shuttle bus. All 3 things were found and returned. Traveling with 3 kids this little was chaos.

Jadyn went on splash mountain 5 times. She had 2 hands in the air. Crazy girl.

If you have a little princess... do the Bippity Boppity, Jadyn loved it!

Its hard to come back from 80 degree weather. :( Thank You So Much Grandma and Grandpa Cheever. We had fun.
