BolderToBoulder

This past weekend was the 10K bolder to boulder. It was a really fun race besides the fact that it was really crowded and you had to dodge elbows for 6 miles. I give props to the guy dressed as Elvis and the guy who ran with his baby on his back. For me 6.2 miles went by pretty fast thanks to all the entertainment along the way. And mostly because I got to run with my 2 sisters. Thanks girls. Celeste you need to make it next year. None of our family actually made it on time, and we finished before they even got there, so the pics are ones we took ourselves. We hit the hot springs afterwards. It was a fun weekend.

Adventures in Kansas

Me and Pat had dentist appointments today. It ended up taking quite awhile so Pat left with the kids to go back to work. I called him when I was done to come pick me up, but he needed to stay at work for a bit. So I decided instead of waiting at the dentist, I would just walk home. About 4 blocks- I am waiting for a car before I cross the street. The man stops his truck (which is blaring music) and motions for me to walk across. I say no, no and motion for him to continue. He motions again for me to go. I feel very uncomfortable, but walk across the street. I can feel his eyes on me. Then he yells out his window. "A girl, your going to have a girl. There's a girl in there." If I had my mace I would have yelled back, "actually, it's a boy." But I didn't have my mace, so I continued to walk. About 6 blocks- some teenagers stop in a beater car and ask if I could help them, they are a little bit lost. He wants directions to Central High. I begin to answer, and he pulls out a horn and blows it in my face. Again, I wish I had my mace. But again I didn't, so I just laughed. Oh and i have 4 cavities. What the hay??

Worst Campers Ever

This weekend we went to Milford Lake. Pat spent probably a good 45 min trying to light the charcoal. He finally got it going and we ended up with half burnt, half raw chicken. We threw it away and the retarded grill. (Don't buy the $12 camping grill at Wal-mart.) So basically we stayed at the lake for 2 hours, before we gave up and went to sonic and the park. Next time calls for better planning. It was still fun anyways.

Just Some Recent Randomness

Project #1 Madduxs new garage sale bed painted blue. Any one with extra time can take some of my sewing projects? Jessica? Janice?

This is mothers day. Jadyn secretly told me what I was getting. I not so secretly love my ipod shuffle and Pat. I would post the pic of me but it is just horrid.

Summer calls for ice cream cones most definitely.
Have I mentioned war lately?
No worries, Jadyn is laughing her head off and Im pretty sure Maddux is enjoying himself immensely.
Grandma and Grandpa stopped by this lovely, beautiful, most wonderful, state of Kansas on their way to pick up Shay.

We got to go swimming at their hotel.
I pretty much feel the same way..... exhausted.

Big sister, big brother, LITTLE BROTHER!

I couldn't be happier! Jadyn however told the nurse, "But I wanted a Little Sister!" Then the whole way home she kept saying, "I am so mad, I am so mad." I feel like it's Go Time. Time to tackle those projects, potty train Maddux and find a name. Wish Me Luck, I think I'm going to need it.

A Friend

I thought he was a baby that couldn't fly because Jadyn was practically petting him. I wouldn't let her touch him though just in case. Cause if you do the mommy won't come back and get them. Then all of a sudden he started flying, he wasn't a baby. I should have let her hold him. He was so friendly.

I figured out the fuzziness today on our camera. Apparently little sticky fingers had touched the lens. I cleaned it and tadda. This was taken a couple days ago though.

Baby Hunger

9 months seems to be taking such a long time. ....

Regret

Why oh why,did I get rid of all our baby stuff? According to the Baby Talk magazine- Average cost of babys first year- $10,000. I don't know if I believe that- I shop at target and breast feed. But I do know that the little bundles of joy aren't cheap and neither is re-buying all their equipment.

Easter Outfits

My children were not in the picture taking mood. I washed Madduxs shorts and they faded to a different blue and you can't see the yellow in his vest. And I think I need to get our other camera working. Talk about some poor quality. But you get the idea, at one point they were adorable matching easter outfits. I'll try again next year.

Over It

I promised myself I wasn't going to do any more whinny blogs, but I can't help it. I'm addicted to blogging and whether I have readers or not it is self therapeutic to me.

#1. "Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing, is like shoveling the walk while it's still snowing" It seems so pointless.

#2. Can I just say it out loud, I hate Kansas. We have been here 6 months, I feel like I have given it a fair chance. While running tonight I tripped and fell; because the freaken sidewalks here are all messed up; because they are like 2,000 years old. After cursing the sidewalk and and then cursing the town, I realized what I probably looked like...... Ridiculous. I can just imagine people driving by, saying look at that pregnant girl, she just tripped ha ha ha. And then I began to laugh at myself and felt remorseful for cursing the sidewalk. But still I hate this ugly old town.

#3 I give up on house hunting, because I have no desire to stay here.

#4 It seems that the very last of my age group received their diplomas this semester. Don't get me wrong I am very happy for all of you. Most of you don't have 3 children, ok only 2 1/2. However, I just want to graduate from college before Jadyn does.

Alright, I'm done. Thanks, I feel better. So happy things.

#1 I am actually training for the Boulder to Boulder 15K on memorial day. I am 6 months prego and I feel amazing!

#2 I love the weather lately.

#3 We finally get to find out if little baby is a boy or girl next week. I can't wait!

#4 No need for a down payment..... Does that mean I can buy new shoes?!!!!!! How about a vacation to Bermuda? Italy? Alaska?

20 Months

I can't believe in 4 months I will have a 2 year old. Maddux just seems like a baby to me. I love to wash him with aveeno baby wash, and then use my expensive shampoo on his hair, and then lotion him up, brush his teeth and put him in brand new jammies................ and just hold him and smell him, and hold him and smell him. Trust me you would fall in love too.
