I didn't take very many pictures. I was busy cooking ham and enjoying the holidays. The kids got SPOILED! It literally took hours to open the presents partially because there was alot and partially because they had to play with every toy before they could move on. I hope you all had a merry christmas.

Maddux Plane
Hi and merry christmas everyone. Sunday is my day to make a blog.
Jadyn is leaving oatmeal outside for the reindeer and Santa crackers and cheese cause he might like that better than cookies.
Jadyn did something dumb I dont remember what it was and I asked her if she was born in a barn? She says no, but baby Jesus was.
Maddux keeps calling Santa- snowman.
Santa came to Madduxs ICD christmas party. Maddux hid behind my legs and shriveled to the ground.
We went and drove around to look at Christmas lights tonight. Bodey was super fussy.

Simplify your Christmas by embracing the spiritual side of the season.
The gift of Christmas isn't wrapped up in presents or parties. The gift of Christmas is Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten of the Father, the Son of God. As you follow Him, you put people first. You may spend less time in lines and more time serving others. You may spend less money on - and more time with - the people you love. You may lose yourself and you may find everything else that matters.
About a week or so ago we had a pretty big snow storm. Pat had to shovel our drive-way about 3 times. And I kept thinking about some of our old elderly neighbors. And visualized in my mind Mr. Grant out there shoveling his walk. It was making me sad. Finally I couldn't put it out of my mind any longer and told Pat we needed to go over there to see if there drive-way had been shoveled. We did and sure enough it had not been shoveled. We visited with Mrs. Grant and even though it was a little awkward at times it was fun. I think it's important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. I am sure having a heck of a time trying to teach my daughter that its more than just Santa. The message above I found on lds.org and felt that any one who reads can benefit.

This blog is mostly about nothing. It was 4 degrees this morning. We tried to build a snowman but I thought we might die after 2 min of being outside. Bodey is holding rattles and playing with toys. Oh and he can laugh, I have yet to catch it on camera though. Baby stages are so fun. Maddux is so scared of the dark it's ridiculous. He loves baseball, basketball and Thomas the train. And Jadyn, what would I do without her? Maddux would probably starve because shes the only one who can get him to eat. She loves preschool. Pat has been tearing it up in league basketball and thinks he is getting an A in his stats class. I am currently bored at the moment but should be looking up a home made eggnog recipe or something. We got new tires! Thats life here. Happy Trails.

Our Trees Story
We wanted to start some family traditions. We thought hiking into the forest to cut down our own Christmas tree would be a fun one. Then we remembered we live in Kansas and went to the tree farm instead. Don't feel sad. It was fun!
You get to ride this little horse carriage out to the trees.
My kids thought this was the coolest part. Look at Madduxs cute reindeer shirt. I got it for $3 on black friday.
And this one too.
And Bodey a snowman shirt for $1. Anyways back to the tree. Sorry.
We did alot of searching. We found a Bodey sized one.
A Maddux sized one.
And a Jadyn sized one.
After much debate we decided on this Australian Pine. I named him Sprucey. And the men in red jumped up to chop it down. Pat was pretty disapointed to find out he didn't get to do it.
Then Sprucey went away on the tractor and we got to ride the horse back.
Next Sprucey was mounted to the car and ready to go home.
Jadyn unbagged him.
The Australian pine was a bad pick. Extremely pokey and hard to decorate. Plus you don't get the real Christmas tree smell. But I like the way he looked he reminded me of Kansas.
It was a good time. We will miss being in Utah for Christmas and everyone there. And are excited to have Pats family here.
