Our Trees Story

We wanted to start some family traditions. We thought hiking into the forest to cut down our own Christmas tree would be a fun one. Then we remembered we live in Kansas and went to the tree farm instead. Don't feel sad. It was fun!
You get to ride this little horse carriage out to the trees.
My kids thought this was the coolest part. Look at Madduxs cute reindeer shirt. I got it for $3 on black friday.
And this one too.
And Bodey a snowman shirt for $1. Anyways back to the tree. Sorry.
We did alot of searching. We found a Bodey sized one.
A Maddux sized one.
And a Jadyn sized one.
After much debate we decided on this Australian Pine. I named him Sprucey. And the men in red jumped up to chop it down. Pat was pretty disapointed to find out he didn't get to do it.
Then Sprucey went away on the tractor and we got to ride the horse back.
Next Sprucey was mounted to the car and ready to go home.
Jadyn unbagged him.
The Australian pine was a bad pick. Extremely pokey and hard to decorate. Plus you don't get the real Christmas tree smell. But I like the way he looked he reminded me of Kansas.
It was a good time. We will miss being in Utah for Christmas and everyone there. And are excited to have Pats family here.

New Moon

It was worth the 2 hour wait. I loved it. It killed Twilight. Unfortanately I sat next to Becky who is on the Jacob team (she says her husband is a Jacob.) New Moon was my least favorite book. Jacob bothered me and I wanted to get back to Edward already. But Becky was crying the whole movie and in the end I was hating Edward and loving Jacob. Choose the guy who pieces your heart back together. At least don't let Edward get away with what he did so easily. Becky you ruined me. Now I don't know how I feel about it all.

Dear man in my yoga class,

The instructor is saying don't forget to breathe. And then you fart in my face. And I can't breathe. I just wanted you to know I think your disgusting!

Its snowing

Good thing Daddy and Bodey finished the leaves yesterday.

I don't know too many people who were excited about the snow. But these 2 are!

I love Bodeys little head sticking out of his car seat. We make sure to keep him nice and warm.

The leaf problem

Our backyard came with 2 enormous old trees. That I loved! Until I realized they produce about a million leaves. I actually went out there and tried to rake and bag them. I just found out that our neighbors were watching and laughing at me. Anyways with the help of our neighbor we finally mowed them all and then rota tilled them and planted grass. Planted grass in November.... ya were probably the smartest family on the block!
If you look close you can see Maddux. Mostly just his hair. This is how bad the leaf problem is!

All I want for christmas

Its happened. I remember when I was younger and my mom would ask for things like frying pans for christmas. And I thought if I ever get to that point where I ask for things like that, then that would mean my life is very sad. I want a washer and dryer and thats probably worse than a frying pan. But look at these high effeciency machines. They are sweet! And they come in a stylish blue. I want them! I want them!

What to do when your husband is away

Catch up on the Hills! Pat thinks this is the stupidest show on earth. He might be right... It was so much better with Lauren too. But I secretly watch it by myself and it always makes me miss those great girl nights in Junction. Miss you girls!
