New Years Eve (a month ago)

 My sister just sent me these from when we were at her house. Thanks. (i love pictures) Im not sure why some of them came up fuzzy :(

Salina

 Trip to Salina was cut short due to 3 kids in hotel- not being fun. Glad I got to see some friends, sorry we were party poopers and left.

Show N Tell

Show N Tell is probably one of Jadyns favorite parts of school. She almost always knows what she is going to bring for each letter. For example they are only on letter N but she knows that for letter T she wants to bring Tangled. And for letter P she wants to bring her panties, seriously. And ect..  Anyways she has wanted to bring the birds nest that was in our tree for letter N. I told her we weren't going to be able to get it. Just like I have told her she is not bringing panties for P. Today while I was playing with Maddux in the yard. I found that nest in the grass. The wind most have blown it out. Show N Tell for letter N is tomorrow. She was so happy when I showed it to her!

You Shouldnt Leave Jessica Home Alone

 Because she will play with scissors.

Once upon a time in land not very far away there lived a beautiful princess named Jessica she had beautiful long curly brown hair. One day Princess Jessica was having a bad hair day so she thought to herself "I bet little girls with cancer would have more fun playing with my hair than I am". So she braided her hair into three braids and then cut them off. Long story short very short. The Braids ended up being 17 inches long and the hair now on Princess Jessica head was longer the day she was born. The hair on her head looked pretty funny so she took her head to hair cut shop and said "help me please". The lady with the scissors seemed very nice but little did Princess Jessica know that the lady with the scissors was actually a wicked witch; that cut some more hair off of Princess Jessica head and now she looks like a boy.

Sorry Jess but laughter is good for people. And this is funny. Maybe just funny to me. I had to share.

Just Documentation

Bodey knocked the camera off the counter. It is sort of broken, meaning I have to hold the batteries in while taking pictures. And even then it still turns off randomly. Therefore I haven't been taking any pictures. Sadness.
Pat is working in Salina this next week, we are all going. The hotel has a pool. Im excited. I dont know why I like swimming so much, Im not even a good swimmer.
Pat made bread today with the bread maker, it turned out really good.
Bodey is sleeping better. Thank the high heavens!
I have a stie or sty or stye however it is spelled. I have a bump on my eye lid. It looks really attractive. (no not really)
Jadyn can now read beginner books like Green Eggs And Ham. She knows a lot of sight words, but still struggles when she has to sound it out.
Jadyn and Maddux continue to play dress up. We added boy things to the dress up clothes, fireman and pirate stuff. Jadyn has just as much fun making him a fireman as she did a princess. I dont know why we didnt add boy clothes a long time ago.
Bodey and Maddux got hair cuts. I loved their long hair, but they were starting to look like mutts. As soon as the lady cut it I was sad though. Bodey looks a lot older. Jadyn was supposed to cut hers too but changed her mind once we got there.

Rain

It has been raining alot. I ordered rain boots for me, Jadyn and Maddux. I do online shopping these days. The rain turned into straight ice when it froze today. They canceled school. I was almost as happy as Jadyn was when I found out because I was so tired this morning. Jadyn was up at 4 am last night. "Mom  when you turn my night light upside down it makes an earth on my ceiling........ something about the earth turns in a circle........something about rainbows.......something about Brady a kid in her class....... can we have family home evening?" She continued this jabbering in my ear for over an hour, I kept falling asleep and then she would start talking again. And I continued to repeat the same answer "Jadyn, why are you awake?" She eventually did go back to sleep and slept in til 10:15 this morning. I however got up with Maddux who wanted orange juice at 6 am. What is wrong with these kids? They are killing me. Literally, I can feel the end of my life being shortened. Sleep. Oh Sweet sleep remember when we used to be friends. We had Subway/Wendys for dinner. That means me and Jadyn had Subway, Pat and Maddux had Wendys. Because I was too lazy/grumpy to make dinner. We compromise at our house.  But really I am worse than a little kid when it comes to being cooped up in the house. One of two things needs to happen it needs to warm up or our rain boots need to arrive. Im not counting on the sun, so come on FedEx!

Jadyn Things

Jadyn: "those muffins are delicious." and then she smacks me on the butt.

me: "um good, but why are you hitting me on the butt?"

Jadyn: "cause thats what daddy does."

me: (trying to think up an answer) "ok ya, but you cant hit me on the butt."

Jadyn: "its not fair how come daddy can and i cant!"


Jadyn "mom, did you give maddux pop with caffeine in it?"

me: "no, why?"

Jadyn "well he is acting all crazy and hyper and wont stop buggin me"

She has started reading. She doesnt like sounding things out, but will if I make her. They are learning letter sounds at school which is the same thing she learned in preschool last year. And I think she is pretty bored this year. I still don't regret taking her out of kindergarten and waiting one more year though. She really loves her teacher, they are both pretty girly and they talk about her fuzzy boots. You should see the amount of things Jadyn puts on to go to school. Hats, scarfs, mittens, leg warmers.... And if her pink skirt is clean, she wears it. I have a million pictures of her in her pink skirt. Cant wait til she outgrows it!

Gotta love her though. She has a soft heart. I love having a girl.

Lunch Conversations

Maddux: "lets talk about salsa for awhile"

Me: "ok"

Maddux: "why is salsa so spicy?"

Me: "cause i accidentaly bought the hot kind"

Maddux "oh, lets talk about rice for awhile"

Me: "ok"

Maddux: "why are there beans in it?"

Me: "uh, theres not?!"

Maddux: "ok, why is rice white?"

.... and he continues. sometimes i think he just talks to talk.

No matter the weather, we play together.

Despite the lack of sleep, the horrible way your body looks, and your messy house, there are some advantages of having children close together.

These 3 have been playing everything with each other. Whether its cowboys or barbies or eating pancakes....... they are together.

Bodey doesnt appreciate being choked.

Sorry Maddux you make one ugly princess. And sorry Jadyn but you really suck at football. But hey at least they are happy.

Christmas 2010
