Confessions of a Stay At Home Mom
- I feed my kids hot dogs for lunch. (I do realize these things are completely disgusting and completely unhealthy)
_I despise Dora and think she is a annoying little character who needs to buy a bigger shirt. But I also have to thank her because nothing can keep Jadyns attention for 2 hours better. And I never would have taught her to say hasta luego.
- I count down hours and minutes til Pat gets home.
-I wear sweats most days. My wardrobe has been slowly dying since Jadyn was born.
-I make mud pies
-I take naps.
-I buy sippy cups once a month. I leave them everywhere.
-I silently scream in my head "Jadyn I don't care about Cici or baby Jaguar, they aren't real they are imaginary." while smiling and saying" oh cool.!"
_I blog instead of doing laundry.
-Somedays I say to myself in my head you are little poop heads, tomorrow I am getting a job and you are going to day care.

Christmas in Kansas
Christmas morning Maddux woke up and he started jumping on all the presents and then he started ripping them open. I guess he knew it was christmas. We were planning on eating breakfast before we opened presents but Maddux was ripping presents open that weren't his, so we bagged it and let them go at it. I think Madduxs favorite was a race car track and Jadyn its hard to tell, she got excited over every present. We had a very merry christmas and hope you did too.

Favorite Christmas Memorys
When my Dad told us we had to dress up for dinner. My sister was pissed about it for some reason, so she went upstairs and put on one of my moms outfits and came downstairs looking completely ridiculous.
Singing with the relief society in church.
Waking up at the crack of dawn and running all around the house waking every one else up yelling Santa Came, Santa Came!
With Grandma Mortensen, she slept on the couch, she had to go pee and i guess she could't walk or something. So she crawled to the bathroom. I remember watching her and thinking what in the world is she doing?
When Utah got a huge storm on Christmas Eve. My dad made us go around and shovel about 15 walks.
Christmas at the Cabin. The drive-way up was snowy and pretty steep. We were all in the Cheever van, we started to slide. On the side was a nice little drop off with lots of rocks. We started getting closer and closer to that edge the more Dan tried to get up the drive-way. We finally all decided to get out. A little scary, pretty funny. Definitely unforgettable.
Doing the 12 days of Christmas to a family who desperately wanted to catch us, and kept putting booby traps in their yard.
Caroling with my dad. I absolutely hated this growing up. But I thought about doing it myself this year.
Getting to be Santa Clause. Cooking, Baking, Decorating, Shopping. And watching Jadyn and Madduxs face as they open their presents.

Have You Seen Me?
Help. I desperately need another one of these dogs. Maddux has fallen in love with this little guy and likes to sleep with him. The only problem is its Jadyns dog, so of course she thinks she needs to sleep with him now too. So I put Maddux too sleep, then pry it out from under him and put Jadyn to sleep with him. Life would be so much easier if I just had another dog. I can not remember where or who gave us this dog. If you know or see him around. Please let me know!

things that really shouldn't be funny
When Pat smacks his head on the cupboard or car door
When Jadyn is mad at Maddux and turns the vacuum on and he jumps and crys and shrivels to the ground because he is deathly afraid of the vacuum
When Maddux pops Jadyn a good one
Seeing my 80 year old neighbor naked through his window
Reading some of my friends Christmas Cards
Listening to Pats Apx selling speech
Putting masks on and ringing the doorbell to someone we hated in highschool then when they came to the door throwing a snowball in their face and running away as fast as you can. ( I never threw the snowball but i did ring a few door bells)

A Little Cheever Update
I love Christmas time. I love the lights, the trees, the nativity. I love it all. The only annoying thing is there is so much sentimental stuff, seems like I cry all December long. You sing a christmas carol and there I am bawling. You tell the christmas story and im bawling again. I read your blog and im bawling. I watch Jadyn and Maddux play tears stream down my face. I wonder what it would be like to have normal emotions and just enjoy it all instead of blow my nose. I mean seriously can I just get my tear ducts removed or something. This will be our first Christmas with just our family meaning me Jadyn, Maddux and Pat. While I am sad that I won't get to be around extended family for this time I am also excited to start our own traditions. What we are going to do I don't quite know yet. Seems there is not alot exciting going on in town or anything so we will have to think of something exciting to do here? Any suggestions? We are trying to fatten Maddux up for the holidays. Actually we are trying to fatten him up for life. At his last doctor appointment we were told to put 3 slabs of butter and a heaping scoop of sour cream on his mashed potatos, too feed him pumpkin pie and alot of it. The kid is in the 4th percentile for weight and the 87th for height. I really do feed him, at least i try he is really picky! He is starting to say a few words and im pretty sure he understands everything i say to him. He is a total boy. He spends half the day throwing a football at me and the other half attacking me. As for Jadyn, she is super excited for Christmas. We are doing the twelve days of christmas to our neighbors who are like 80. Im sure Jadyn is getting way more joy out of it than they are, but thats ok. The blog about Jadyn and Maddux being best of friends was a total hoax it lasted like one day. They are the best of friends and the worst of enemies all depends on how much sleep they get. Oh the blog about snow total hoax too. It melted the next day. well i think this is quite long and random so im just going to end it now. (sorry about the punctuation and run on sentences and stuff its not that i need to go back to 5th grade its just that i am to lazy to use commas and capital letters and periods.)

Snow
Snow. Snow. Just look at the snow. Come out. Come out. Come out in the snow. I want to know if you like snow? Do you like it? Yes or no? Oh yes! Oh yes! I do like snow. ---( this is from Jadyns book that I have read to her probably a thousand times.) Looks like we will have a white Christmas after all. yay!

Cici
Cici is Jadyns imaginary cat. He is a very naughty cat. He poops in the house and Jadyn tells me she has to potty train him. She was holding her hands over the toilet and when I asked her what she was doing she said oh im just teaching Cici how to go potty so he doesn't poop in our house anymore. Cici is a very high need cat. He must be rocked to sleep and he continually is running away from Jadyn. She chases him all over trying to catch him. She takes him for walks in her stroller and puts coats on him to take him outside. Cici supposedly even pushed Maddux over one day. Well both Cici and Jadyn had to go in time-out. When Cici talks Jadyn does this weird voice it is so funny. I don't know how long Cici will last maybe til Jadyn gets a real kitty.

Packy
So I realize Pat never makes it onto the blog. So today I am doing the Hubby Tag even though no one has actually tagged me.
Whats your husbands name? Patrick James Cheever
How long have you guys been married? Almost 4 years! It feels like we just got married yesterday.
How long did you date? We dated for 2 years. It was pretty much love at first sight for me. Too bad he is so darn good looking.
How old is he? 24 just 6 months older than me but a year ahead of me in school.
Who is the better singer? There is no controversy in this one. I sing like a frog. And he sings pretty good actually.
Who is smarter? well depends on if your talking common sense or book smart.
Who does the laundry? that would be me but i usually dye all our clothes blue or pink so maybe he should take over
Who pays the bills? We both do but usually just online bill pay so they pay themselves basically
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me. But he tucks the covers under his legs and then rolls over, so in order to stay warm I end up sleeping on his side of the bed because I have no covers.
Who mows the lawn? Pat would kill me if i mowed the lawn. He loves it. And he does in perfect straight lines sometimes going over it twice. He loves grass and says alot of pride can come from the way a baseball field looks. Just one of the wierd things about Pat.
Who cooks dinner? usually me but pat watches the kids while i do it. he is a big breakfast guy just like my dad.
who drives? pat almost always
who is the first to say they are wrong? neither of us. we usually just know it and then life goes on and the other gets a silent victory.
who kissed who first? Pat kissed me, but it took him forever! I was ready for my first kiss from him long before I ever got it. Like I said love at first sight.
who asked who out first? well he made the first move which was supposed to be for his friend, but he ended up asking me out himself. Thats because i am so good looking too jk.
Who wears the pants? Pat does we live in Kansas do you think we would live in Kansas if I wore the pants? No in all honesty Pat trys very hard to make me happy. He is always saying k what do you want to do? Im very lucky to have landed this man and I love him very much.

Black Friday Madness
This morning I woke up at 3:30 am to hit the sales like a crazy person. We made it to Kohls 15 minutes early and there was already a huge line. And like a crazy person I ran through the aisles pilling stuff in my arms. It was too much fun. I laughed at all the crazy people around me. Then we went to target and waited in line and we ran around target. And at target the madness got to me....... "Are there any more of those cameras?" Lyllian asked the sales lady. "I just put one out on aisle 18. Last one. You better run!" she replied. And Lyllian ran down to aisle 18. Oh Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOO somebody is reaching for it. Go for it Lyllian. Go for it. And she did she shoved the lady out of the way and grabbed the real toy camera.
Seriously what kind of a person am I? Shoving somebody out of the way? She wasn't even going for the camera i now know because she told me after i shoved her. I totally deserved all the harsh words she said to me. I guess the competiveness just came out, I really didn't need the toy camera that badly. Lets hope I can be forgiven. And it was still too much fun. Happy Shopping To All.

Cold Turkey
This weekend Maddux left a breastfeed baby and will return to me no longer a breastfeed baby. Since Maddux turned 1 I have been trying to wean him. I couldn't figure out how to cut out the middle of the night feedings though. It was the only way I could put him back to sleep. However since he is going to be 15 months next month and is only in the 4th percentile on weight we decided it was time for drastic measures. So Pat took him to Cheyenne with him and I stayed in Greeley with my sister. At first I was having alot of anxiety about just cutting him off, but once he left I kind of forgot about it. I spent the day shopping and getting my hair done. Its nice to have a break every once in awhile or once ever 14 months (jk). Oh and I almost forgot I am going to see Twilight tonight. Ahhhhhh (thats my excited scream)

Best of Friends
So my children have made it to the point in their life where they actually get along. I dont know if Jadyn finally got over the fact that Maddux was born or if he is just old enough now to actually play. It is so great! Jadyn is very concerned when Maddux has an owee and whenever he is crying or unhappy she is always trying to make him laugh. It is so sweet. She used to be very jealous and steal all his toys. Maddux loves to play with her whenever she is gone he goes in all the rooms looking for her. Maddux is forced to be a princess and the patient at the doctor and all sorts of weird things that Jadyn comes up with, but he doesn't even seem to mind. They have become inseparable and no longer because they are forced too. There is peace and happiness in my home . I love it and hope this is not just a phase. These two are my prized possesions and it is so nice to see them love eachother too.

Theres No Place Like Home
Oh it feels so good to have all my own stuff ,my own bed. Walk around naked and all that jazz. After almost 2 months of shackin up with family we finally moved to Kansas. So far i don't really know what I think. Its a super old town! I mean some of the roads here are still made of bricks! I got a lead paint pamphlet when we moved in. Now that is old. We found a little house in an older neighborhood of course. But I love it. It's perfect for our family and the perfect amount of rent too. Gas here is 1.99. Yay!! Jadyn and Maddux are loving the backyard and seem to be 90% happier which is amazing just in itself. Our living room is still filled with boxes, but im getting at it. Vestas keeps amazing us and is proving to be a awesome company to work for! Pat just set up his own desk on friday he was pretty excited. Well here are some pics of the trip. Thanks for stopping by.

Mom
This is my life. No its not glamorous in any way. It usually includes some food or some sort of stickyness all over. It no longer includes make-up or earings or those cute little shorts that no longer look good on me. Its alot of whinning and crying and arghh...........But it's amazing! And at the end of the day theres 2 people who think im their hero as i think my mom is and that makes every second worth it.

Memory Lane
Tomorrow is Jadyns birthday and even though we aren't celebrating til sunday, she is on my mind. I still remember holding this little newborn that was so tiny. And now shes 3 YIKES! Even though she likes to act big sometimes she says the funniest stuff and I remember she is still little. Like today when she told me Dues (who is a dog) came out of Jamies tummy. She makes me laugh everyday.
